CyberDice is a bitcoin gambling site with a noticeable “cyber” look. It is one of the gambling sites that focus on a single game and wagering with bitcoins. This online cryptocurrency gambling site was once marketed as the game that took the original bitcoin game (dice) to the next level. It is a licensed online gambling operation launched by the bitcoin betting platform OneHash. At the time we did this CyberDice review, it claimed to have already processed more than 97 million dice rolls.
CyberDice only offers a single game. However, it’s a game many cryptocurrency gambling fans are accustomed to, and would probably find too engaging for them to look for other options. It’s a relatively simple game that can be addicting. The game has manual and automatic modes. Learn more about these modes in the Game section below.
CyberDice only uses bitcoin, which means you can make a deposit in bitcoins and withdraw your winnings in bitcoins. There is no option to deposit in fiat currency or other cryptocurrencies. Sans a list of restricted countries, the site is meant to serve players in all parts of the world. It also allows anonymous playing. The site cannot be viewed in different languages, though.
If you are looking for an engaging bitcoin dice game online with a distinctive and responsive interface, CyberDice is a good option to consider. It is mobile-friendly and provides a good range of features include two-factor authentication, a chat board for players, and live chat support.
In signing up for a CyberDice account, you will be directed to the OneHash.com website as you click on the Sign Up button. Don’t worry about the change in the URL. OneHash is the online betting platform responsible for CyberDice.
The signup form only asks for your email address. Once you enter your email address, you will then have to complete a CAPTCHA. After this, an account verification email will be sent to the email address you entered. This is not yet the actual signup process. The CyberDice signup form only becomes accessible through the link sent by CyberDice to the email you entered earlier.
In the actual signup form, you will be required to enter your (nominated) username and password. Take note that the username should only have a maximum of 16 characters. Also, if the password you enter is deemed not secure enough, you will not be allowed to proceed with the signup process.
It took us around a minute to get a CyberDice account. This is because the email from CyberDice took several seconds to reach our inbox. We couldn’t immediately go to the actual signup form (through the link sent by CyberDice) as we had to repeatedly refresh our inbox while waiting for CyberDice’s email.
Nothing much changes in the CyberDice interface as you log in. It looks mostly the same as the homepage before you signed up for an account. The only noticeable changes are the appearance of the Deposit button and the drop down menu on the upper right corner of the site. The drop down menu provides the following options: Your Account (account page), Seed Settings (for provably fair testing), Settings (account settings), and Log Out.
If you click on the Your Account option, a modal window opens. This has tabs for your profile, referral, and sessions. The Profile tab displays information about the number of games you have played, wins, profit, wagered amount, profit rank, and wagered rank. It also has a “Profile hidden” toggle, which lets you set your account’s privacy. Also, under the Profile tab, you can change your account’s name. Just click on the edit button (the button with the pen icon) to the right of your account name. The Referral tab, on the other hand, presents the affiliate link you will be using to earn referral revenues. The Sessions tab presents details on your game sessions.
The Settings option lets you enable two-factor authentication (disabled by default), change your account password, and edit your bitcoin wallet address.
CyberDice has a chat box to the right, which can be opened by clicking on the chat icon on the top leftmost portion of the site.
The CyberDice Game
CyberDice features only one game. This is a dice game similar to the several other bitcoin dice game sites we have reviewed earlier. It features a simple and intuitive looking game interface that only looks slightly different because of its “cyber” theme and the mint green streaks moving across the game screen.
To play, you have to indicate your roll amount (bitcoin wager), multiplier (the number multiplied to the roll amount to calculate your winnings if you win), and roll target roll over number (by moving the red and green slider or entering the value you want in the Roll Target section). The roll target – (roll over/roll under) is the number (0 to 99.99) that serves as the basis whether or not your bet wins. If you choose to “roll over,” you will if the resulting number is higher than the number you set. If you select “roll under,” you will win if the resulting number if lower than the number you chose.
The multiplier, roll target, and win chance are interconnected. Changing one of them causes changes in the other variables.
You can also play in Auto mode, wherein you can set additional parameters for an automated series of rolls. With the Auto mode, you can configure the number of rolls, loss behavior (increase the bet amount by a certain percentage or reset it), win behavior, stop loss (stop the series of rolls if you reach a certain amount of losses), and stop profit (stop the game after you achieve a certain level of winnings).
CyberDice can be considered a free bitcoin gaming site because you can play with it even without making a deposit. This is through the free BTC automatically credited to your account after you sign up and the bitcoin faucet.
Game Software, Fairness, and House Edge
CyberDice uses a proprietary game software. Fortunately, the game is made provably fair. You can test the fairness of the game outcomes or check if there are signs that the game results have been manipulated. For the details on how to perform a provably fair test, go to the Fairness page of the site (the link is on the footer).
This online dice bitcoin gaming site does not require Flash support or special features not present in most modern web browsers. You don’t have to install additional plugins or browser extensions to start playing.
When it comes to the house edge, CyberDice is comparable to that of other bitcoin dice sites. It has a low house edge of only 1%.
Is CyberDice Mobile-Friendly?
Since it uses a responsive web design, the CyberDice website is mobile-friendly. Hence, there are no problems playing this bitcoin dice game on smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices. It automatically changes its layout to adjust to the display size of the device used to access it. There is no need to click on link or button to switch to a mobile version of the site.
CyberDice does not have an Android or iOS app so it can only be accessed through a mobile browser if you want to play using your mobile device. There’s nothing to complain about the web-based nature of the game, though. We did not encounter responsiveness issues or freezing while doing this review.
Currencies and Deposit/Withdrawal Methods Supported
Bitcoin is the only currency used on CyberDice.
To make a deposit, click on the Deposit button near the upper right corner of the site. Before you can make a deposit, CyberDice will ask you to enter your bitcoin wallet address first. This will serve as the refund wallet address.
After you added your bitcoin wallet address to your account, you can start making a deposit by transferring bitcoins to the address displayed on your Deposit modal window. You may also make a deposit by scanning the QR code shown therein.
There is no minimum deposit amount required, but a maximum deposit of 3.000 BTC is set. Players are advised not to make deposits larger than 3.000 BTC to ensure the safety of the bitcoins deposited. If you deposited more than 3 BTC, CyberDice will send back the amount exceeding 3 BTC at your expense (transfer fee).
If you want to withdraw your winnings, click on your account balance (to the left of the Deposit button) to reveal the following options: Transaction History, Deposit, Withdraw, and Faucet. Obviously, you have to click on Withdraw to initiate a withdrawal. When withdrawing, the amount should be at least 0.001 BTC for the process to be initiated.
Bonuses and Promotions
CyberDice does not provide bonuses and promotions similar to what the larger casinos offer. Instead, it has the following:
- 0.00000100 BTC Bonus upon Signing Up – This is not an explicitly stated bonus but we noticed that after we logged in to our newly created account, we already had 0.00000100 BTC in our balance. This is a no deposit bonus. We didn’t have to make a deposit to obtain it. We also didn’t tap on CyberDice’s faucet to get this amount in our balance.
- Bitcoin Faucet – Get free 0.000001 BTC every 15 minutes by accessing the CyberDice bitcoin faucet. You can only use the faucet, though, if you have a zero account balance.
CyberDice also has an affiliate program that lets you earn 0.5% or ½ of 1% of the bets made by the players you referred to the site. The affiliate program is maintained by OneHash, so don’t be alarmed if you are directed to the OneHash website again as you click on the Affiliate Program button.
This dice bitcoin gambling site does not have a VIP program, which is to be expected in a non-full-fledged online casino.
Does CyberDice Accept US Players?
CyberDice does not explicitly present a list of restricted countries. We contacted the support team to inquire if the site accepts US players, and the response was in the affirmative. CyberDice accepts US players.
Policy on Anonymity
You can play anonymously with CyberDice. It does not have a policy of verifying the identity of its players. You will not be required to submit proofs of identification. Unlike many other online casinos, your account will not be suspended or terminated if you refuse to reveal your identity.
